Touching Stories Red roses were her favorites, her name
was also Rose. Featured Gift Ideas Valentine's Day has been deemed as lover's holiday. This is the day when most people propose or dedicate their day or some large part of it to making their partner happy. Most gifts exchanged on this day do come straight from the heart. Everything from jewelry, chocolates, travel, handmade crafts and just about anything that you or you feel that your partner can place emotional value on. Quite often we find ourselves trying to out do what we had done last year, window shopping, or relying on friends to help us out. And even relying on hers or his friends to help guide us. Romantic Holidays
Valentine's Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day Anniversary Day Birthday's Sometimes nothing shows your love more than taking the time to do the special little things. Romantic walks, candle light dinners, massages, hot baths, drying flowers from a special occasion, reminiscing over pictures, watching a movie, even doing a simple thing like the dishes or meeting him at his workplace after work. These are the simple things that nowadays cost us next to nothing and yet have more impact than any gold you can buy. If you have a special occasion coming up, maybe consider going back to the basics to spice up your event.
Weekly Joke I sent flowers to someone who
was moving to Florida for a job promotion. I also sent flowers the same
day to a funeral for a friend.

Trivia
Did you know, even before human time roses flourished: 35 million year old fossilized rose flowers and hips have been found in Europe and petrified rose wreaths have been unearthed from ancient Egyptian tombs.
Sent In By A Friend A CHILD’S PRAYER: Last
week I took my children to a restaurant. My six-year-old son asked
if he could say grace. As we bowed our heads he said, "God is great
and God is Good. Let us thank Him for the food, and I would even thank
you more if mom gets us ice cream for dessert. And Liberty and justice
for all! Amen!" Along
with the laughter from the other customers nearby I heard a woman
remark, "That's what's wrong with this country. Kids today don't
even know how to pray. Asking God for ice-cream! Why, I never!" Hearing
this, my son burst into tears and asked me, "Did I do it wrong?
Is God mad at me?" As I held him and assured him that he had done
a terrific job and God was certainly not mad at him, an elderly gentleman
approached the table. He winked at my son and said, "I happen
to know that God thought that was a great prayer."
"Really?" my son
asked. "Cross my heart." Then in theatrical whisper he added (indicating
the woman whose remark had started this whole thing), "Too bad
she never asks God for ice cream. A little ice cream is good for the soul
sometimes." Naturally,
I bought my kid's ice cream at the end of the meal. My son stared
at his for a moment and then did something I will remember the rest
of my life. He picked up his sundae and, without a word, walked over
and placed it in front of the woman. With a big smile he told her,
"Here, this is for you! Ice cream is good for the soul sometimes, and my soul is good already."
